I would like to add a resource to the Local Resource Directory, but I don’t intend on registering or joining your group.

No problem, use the contact form to send me any resources you like to see listed.
I certainly do not want to make you join the group if you’re not ready or just for the sake of using the Local Resource Directory.

I’m am only interested in joining your nature walks, or psychic practice, or spiritual documentary events (I am interested in one type of event but not the other activities,) may I join?

I prefer that you do, yes, but it’s up to you. If you find one of the activities interesting; i.e. if you like only one of these: meditation, nature walks, spiritual documentaries, awareness documentaries (on health, free energy, ormus, astronomy, quantum physics, earth and nature, etc), spiritual movies, psychic practice, I encourage you to join the events and this group.
You do not need to join in order to RSVP, you can RSVP and attend without requiring this group (here or on meetup).

I want to attend a meeting, do I need to RSVP?

Yep, an RSVP is a must. You can do so on the event page by leaving a comment.
If you do not RSVP I cannot guarantee anything, the event might get canceled and you wont be notified, we might run out of room, etc.
So please RSVP if you intend on joining, and if not sure write “Maybe” but make sure to RSVP.

How do I register an account here?

It’s an easy one step process:
Please use this contact form, write a quick message indicating the user name you want (preferably your first name).
Once sent, Ethan will setup an account for you. You will get an email soon after.
You can then log in and change your password if you like.

How do I RSVP (Indicate that I will attend) an Event?

By leaving a comment underneath the Event page in the comment section with the words RSVP.
If you are a member make sure to log-in before leaving the comment (So I know who you are)
If you are a guest, not a member of the Natural Spiritual meeting group you can leave a comment without logging in (after answering the visual Captcha challenge). I highly prefer that you join/create an account and login before RSVPing.

How much does this cost? Are there any membership fees?

For the last couple years all the events have been free.
There are no fees to join, show up at events, or RSVP.
In the future, if we have events at places that require a rental fee donations will be asked to cover rental space cost.

I am a member of the meetup.com Natural Spiritual group, do I have to RSVP here as well on meetup?

You only need to RSVP once, either on the meetup.com page or here on this website.

When I log-in or register I see a page that looks a bit different, whats happening?

The Natural Spiritual Home Page is located at http://www.naturalspiritual.org
The Natural Spiritual Talk Zone is located at http://www.naturalspiritual.org/talk
When you register or log-in, you are directed to the Talk Zone temporarily to log-in.
Once you are logged in, the site will send you back to the Home Page with this URL: www.naturalspiritual.org
If you find yourself at the Talk Zone and want to go to the Home Page you can do two things:

Simply click on the banner image (Earth)
Delete the word “talk” from the URL http://www.naturalspiritual.org/talk to go back to http://www.naturalspiritual.org

Should I register (become a member) on this website?

You can join our meetings without being registered on this website. You however need to leave a comment to RSVP for an event.
Yes: This is our official website. It has everything that the meetup page has and a bit more. In order to use all the different parts of this website you do need to log in (after you register an account).

I want to post photos, participate in a discussion, suggest meetings and venues. Could I do that at Meetup.com?

In order to avoid duplication, this is the website we use to post photos, participate in discussions, take polls at.
In order to consolidate all our group’s ideas and contributions discussions and photos on meetup.com are not being used by us.
Photos and ideas already posted at meetup.com are being moved here.

I am not a member of this website, what can this website do for me?

Join the group (by creating an account on this website), to get access to the other areas, suggest future meetups, share photos, etc.

I am a member of the Natural Spiritual meetup.com group, do I have to join here, is this the same group?

We are the same group, the Natural Spiritual meetup group based in the Twin Cities.
Events are posted both at the meetup.com site and here
You do not need to register here at this website, but if you want to share photos, suggest events, add to the resource page, etc you need a user account here.

I got 2 email notifications about your event, why?

I send “one” email notification from here to all members notifying them of a new event being posted.
Meetup.com sends out another email notification, and possibly a follow-up reminded email.

Which is the official page for your group, this website or the meetup.com page?

This website is our official home. Natural Spiritual . Com is the online home for the Natural Spiritual group.
Meetup.com is one outlet that we exist on to reach people seeking a group like ours. There is also have a facebook page for this group (under construction now).
This website (i.e. naturalspiritual.org) offers us all a greater potential for utilizing this web-presence to have a better experience and more flexibility.

Will you share my email address, name, events, etc with 3rd parties?

Absolutely not. I will not betray your trust. I will not contribute to the spam mail out there, and I value your privacy. I even feel bad about sending out an email notification of newly posted events, I don’t want to spam any one.

Should I register with my real name or pseudo name?

In order for other members to know “who you are”, I do encourage you to use your real name, your first name or the name that your friends know you by.
I suggest you not use your last name, as an added measure to protect your privacy.
Many of your contributions on this website will be private (seen by other members).
Many other contributions are publicly viewable.

I am not a member, what can this website do for me?

Why Can’t I see Events from 2010 and most 2011?

This website NaturalSpiritual.org went online on November 2011 thus events held before the launch of this website might not be found here.. we might copy over some events to keep here for posterity, soon .

Why am I unable to register myself online?

Due to spam bots and spammers we have disabled the online self-registration.
We are a geographic, physical group of people, we find our method of requesting access more appropriate than opening up this site to online self-registration.

Is This a Religious Group or a Church?

Yes and no. We prefer to say we are a Spiritual group, we embrace teachings from different traditions, different religions and philosophies, we come from diverse backgrounds, pagans, ex-christians, ex-atheists, Buddhists, psychics etc.
Our Church is probably the outdoors, nature, by trees, by a stream, under the sky, in the wind, in the sunlight. You might think of our meetings indoors, meditation time, spiritual movies talks and psychic practice times as a “spiritual service”.
For a legal definition, we are considered a religious group; one could use the broad label “Classical Pantheists” to describe this group, and Pantheism is defined as a religion in the eyes of the law.
We understand that a human being is beyond one label, beyond one building to worship in, beyond one religion.
We embrace our freedom, our own divinity, we are spiritual, intuitive, practical, open-minded, modern and do not utilize religious dogma.
