We are a group of spiritual people who love nature and find a spiritual connection with it, thus we are Nature Spirituals.
We are also Spiritual by our Nature, or Naturally Spiritual.
We as a group, or club, do not follow any specific religious tradition. This groups is a “non-landed” group, i.e. a group, or club, which owns no property. All the events hosted by the group are at members homes, on public lands, or rented.
This group is growing , and maturing as we figure out what the community (we) needs and give ourselves the time and events that we want to see happen. Once you register, please visit the Talk Zone and share ideas of things you want to see happen.
We Are Not:
- This group is not a hiking group or an outdoors group per se, but we go outdoors often.
- This group is not a religious group, and not an atheist group either.
Meetup.com:
We have a meetup presence where our events (meetups) are posted. The events are naturally also posted here, on this, our official website. Members of this website might or might not be members of the meetup website and vice versa. You do not need to join meetup.com to join this group. You can join this group by joining this website (by creating an account here) or by joining the meetup.com then joining our meetup group.
As of Nov 2011, our meetup presence is more than 200 people strong. Here’s a link to our meetup page www.meetup.com/NatureSpirituality
Is This Group a Good Fit For Me?
A prerequisite to joining is that you must recognize that you are a spiritual being and that your spirituality is important to you (non religious or non dogmatic spiritual)
Also to have “nature” be a part of your spiritual experiences, perhaps feel a spiritual connection to nature or the universe around you, beyond a simple appreciation of nature’s beauty or scientific allure, this group is good for those that feel “connected” to “nature”, to the sky, trees, ground, wind, life, the mysterious, or the whole universe (i.e. divine, omniverse)
This group is here to bring together non-religious but very spiritual being, nature-lovers, kind-hearted individuals, open-hearted individuals, non-aggressive, open minded seekers, contemplative type people, modest, nature-loving and other-loving (as in loving others) individuals, and those who have a spiritual connection to nature.
“Nature” here is very broadly defined (beyond the outdoors), it means anything that exists naturally (non-human-made), including living things, people, the planet and everything within the universe (within the omniverse). We, are a part of this nature, a part of this oneness.

History of The Natural Spiritual group:
Why I started this group
1- To build a place and a group that is spiritual, non judgmental and easy going where you can feel free, relaxed, comfortable being who you are and loved.
2- To go outdoors, admire and take in all the beauty of nature, all seasons especially when it is winter in MN.
3- Explore all aspects of spirituality, and being. To be, explore, grow and enjoy!
4- When you want to discuss topics like spirituality, environmental issues, social issues, personal issues, religion, culture, biology, pantheism, spiritual ideas, what life is,alternative energy, alternative healing, etc… I will gladly discuss these with you.
5- To create a community of like-minded individuals, to offer help to each other and socialize.
This group started on Dec 5, 2009 by Ethan Z. on meetup.com. This website NaturalSpiritual.org went online on 16/11/2011.
This group was known as Nature Spirituality. About a couple years later the name changed to The Natural Spiritual, and our members are now called Natural Spirituals.
